Soft-structured Carriers (SSC)

Soft-structured Carrier (SSC) Reviews

In the past few years, soft-structured carriers (SSCs) have taken the lead in the baby carrier popularity stakes.

This partly lies in modifications to design allowing adjustable width and height, meaning the one carrier can be used from newborn to toddler. Many have also added the option of facing out, which appeals to some parents.

Brands tend to develop a fan-base and can rise and fall based on social media influencers, marketing and paid advertising. This can imply some carriers are better than others, when they are all functionally similar.

So we’ve road tested some products to make the process a little less confusing by taking away the retail presence. Our tester carriers are part of the South Eastern Babywearing Group demonstration library and have been made available to us by manufacturers/retailers/distributers over the years. We have no affiliation or vested interest in the sale of any of these products.
