What happens at our babywearing meets?

Twice a month - weather permitting - @southeasternbabywearinggroup comes together with @sthnnaturalparentingnetwork in a playground for our Fresh Air And Friendship meets.

These informal drop-in gatherings bring together experienced #babywearing parents with those starting out with using baby carriers as part of their gentle parenting journey.

We meet in child friendly spaces so toddlers and older children can play while parents chat and support each other.

Our collection of tester carriers comes along and are available to try during the meet. Parents can bring along their own baby carriers for help with getting them fitting comfortably for adult and child.

We can help with simple carriers for new babies right through to toddler and preschool age. If you are interested, we can support you while you learn to back carry, explore woven wrap techniques or tandem wearing.

There is no cost to attend. We are a collective of families, not a business. We do not sell anything and are not aligned with any business.

We meet in Melbourne's south-east suburbs on Thursdays and occasional Saturdays. Our volunteers are generally available from 10am til 1.00 but we do ask you come with at least an hour to spare as we need time to help you without rushing.

Bring your morning tea or lunch ....or both! Grab a coffee on the way or bring a Thermos! We practice social distancing and other covid-safety requirements.
