Babywearing Keeps Babies Close to the People They Love

Some people see #babywearing as isolating babies from the world around them and think infants must prefer to face the world rather than towards their parent. But there is nothing a baby wants to see more than the face of a loving familiar face.

Carrying your child close enough to kiss keeps them connected to you. They might be distracted by sights, sounds and movement and turn to look but then turn to your face to see your reaction. They learn how to interpret the world around them by reading how you respond to it.

Keeping babies close is a natural way to introduce them to the world.
